Christopher Robert Evans is an American actor from the United States. His career began playing roles in television shows such as Opposite sexual sex, which aired in 2000. In the following years, he appeared in numerous teens' films, including 2001's Not Another Teen Movie he gained attention for his portrayal of the Marvel Comics character, the Human Torch in 2005's Fantastic Four and the sequel Fantastic Four: Rise of the Silver Surfer (2007). Evans has appeared in numerous films based on graphic novels and comics, such as TMNT (2007) Scott Pilgrim vs. the World (2009) as well as Snowpiercer (2013). Alongside his character as Captain America/Steve Rogers Evans earned him recognition for his appearances in the Marvel Cinematic Universe movies Captain America: The First Captain America: The Winter Soldier (2015) as well as Captain America: Civil War. The Marvel films made him one of Hollywood's highest-paid actors.
